FAQ

Here you can find answers to frequently asked questions about Tempo VPN.

What is a VPN?

A VPN (Virtual Private Network) is a technology that protects your network traffic through an encrypted connection. It creates a secure tunnel between you and the internet, protecting your privacy and data security.

Does Tempo VPN log my browsing activity?

No. We strictly follow a no-logs policy and do not record, store, or monitor your browsing history, websites visited, downloaded content, or any online activity. We only collect necessary technical information to provide the VPN service.

Is using a VPN legal?

In most countries, using a VPN is completely legal. A VPN is a legal privacy protection tool. However, please ensure that your use of a VPN complies with local laws and regulations. We are not responsible for any illegal use.

Will a VPN affect my internet speed?

A VPN may slightly affect speed as data needs to be encrypted and routed. However, we use high-performance servers and optimized network architecture to minimize the impact on speed. Actual speed depends on your location, chosen server, and network conditions.

How do I choose the best server?

When choosing a server, we recommend considering the following factors: • Choosing a server closer to your geographical location usually yields better speeds • Use the in-app speed test feature to test latency for different servers • Choose a server location based on your needs (such as accessing content from a specific region)

Can a VPN bypass geographical restrictions?

Yes, a VPN can help you access content that is restricted due to geographical location. By connecting to servers in different regions, you can obtain an IP address for that region, thereby accessing the corresponding content. However, please be sure to comply with the terms of service of the relevant provider.

Why are VPN permissions required?

The Android system requires VPN apps to obtain VPN permissions in order to create a VPN connection. This is a system-level security requirement. We will only use this permission to establish a VPN connection and not for any other purpose.

What should I do if the VPN connection fails?

If you encounter connection issues, please try the following steps: • Check if your network connection is normal • Try switching to a different server • Restart the app • Check if other VPNs or proxy services are enabled • If the problem persists, please contact our support team.

How can I protect my privacy?

Tempo VPN protects your privacy by: • Encrying all network traffic • Following a no-logs policy • Not collecting personally identifiable information • Using secure VPN protocols • Conducting regular security audits.

How do I start the connection?

Starting a VPN connection is very simple: • On the app home page, click the connection button in the bottom right corner (the circular floating button) • First-time use requires granting VPN permissions • Once connected successfully, the button will display as a stop state • Click again to disconnect.

What is Auto mode?

Auto mode is a feature that automatically selects the optimal node: • The system automatically tests all available nodes • It automatically chooses the best server based on latency and speed • Provides the best connection experience without needing manual selection • Suitable for users who want the fastest speed.

What is App Proxy?

App Proxy is an application-level traffic control feature based on the Android system: • Feature Description: Allows you to set individually whether each app's traffic goes through the VPN proxy. • How it Works: Based on Android software limitations, it can prevent specific apps' traffic from passing through the VPN tunnel, letting those apps use your original network connection directly. • Use Cases: - Certain apps (such as banking or payment apps) may require a direct network connection - Local service apps (such as smart home apps) need to access the local network - Gaming apps may require lower latency • Note: In the app proxy settings, unchecked apps will not pass through the VPN and will use your original network connection directly.

What if the app list is not showing on the App Proxy page?

If the app list does not appear when you open the App Proxy settings, please follow these steps: • Ensure the app has been granted necessary permissions (especially the "Query all apps" permission) • Close the App Proxy settings page • Reopen the App Proxy settings page • If it still doesn't display, check the app permissions in system settings • Some devices may require additional permission authorization; please follow system prompts.

Do I need to reconnect after switching networks?

Yes, it is recommended to reconnect the VPN after switching networks: • When switching from Wi-Fi to mobile data, or vice versa • When switching to different Wi-Fi networks • When the network environment changes Reconnecting ensures: • The VPN connection works correctly in the new network environment • You get the best connection speed and stability • Potential connection issues are avoided.

Are server nodes fixed?

No, our server nodes are provided randomly: • The node list is dynamically assigned by the server • You may get a different node each time you connect • This ensures load balancing and better performance • All nodes are optimized to provide the same quality of service If you need a node in a specific region, you can select the corresponding server location in the node list.

How do I contact technical support?

If you need help, you can contact us via: • Use the "Contact Us" feature within the app to send an email • Visit our website for more information • We typically respond to your inquiry within 24 hours.
